RHS Theater has earned an impressive eight Foxy Award nominations, recognizing excellence across both its recent productions: three nominations for last spring’s musical, “Mean Girls: High School Version,” and five for this fall’s play, “Clue: High School Edition.”
The Foxy Awards honor outstanding achievement in high school and middle school theater throughout New Jersey. The awards are given to students and educators, celebrating excellence in directing, performance, design, technical theater and outstanding production.
The awards ceremonies for high school productions will take place at Memorial Auditorium at Montclair State University on May 21, 2026. The ceremony for musicals begins at 6 p.m. and a separate ceremony for plays begins at 7:30 p.m.
Nominated director Jeorgi Smith Herring will attend the ceremony, joined by four RHS student performers. Representing “Mean Girls” will be senior Hannah Hutchinson and sophomore Sophia Dominguez, while junior Libby Cooper and freshman Natalie Crespolini will perform on behalf of “Clue.”
“I am so excited to be going to the Foxys for the first time, and I am very proud of all our nominations,” said Hutchinson, who played Karen Smith in “Mean Girls.” “I am looking forward to representing the cast and finishing out my senior year strong.”
“I am super proud to be able to represent ‘Clue,’ ” added Cooper, who played Wadsworth in the fall 2025 production. “The show meant so much to me, and I am glad that other people felt the same way. Our cast worked so hard, and I cannot wait to see what happens.”

- Outstanding Achievement by a Student Costume Technician for a Play: Amelia Richard
- Outstanding Achievement in Property Design for a Play: Sarah Hall & Gabriella Ruiz
- Outstanding Performance by a Featured Ensemble Actress, Established: Natalie Crespolini
- Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble in a Foundational Play: Jeorgi Smith Herring
- Outstanding Production of a Foundational Play: Jeorgi Smith Herring
