The Randolph Girls Lacrosse team is off to a solid start this season, opening with a 3-1 record through its first three games. Wins over Jefferson, West Morris Central and Mount Olive showed the team’s early offensive strength and chemistry, while a tough loss to Watchung Hills gave Randolph a clear look at what it needs to improve moving forward.
After a rebuilding season last year, Randolph is entering this spring with a stronger and more balanced roster. With experienced returners and new freshmen stepping up, the team has a solid play across the field, from the goal all the way to offense.
The roster features a strong group of freshmen stepping into key roles this season, including Kaitlyn Harth, Maddie Lufft, Lily Miller, Samantha Nieto, Dani Rubin and Ashlynn Stokoe.
The sophomore class also features returning players like Leah Wiberg, Julia Manganiello and Samantha Cerulo.
The junior class includes Ana Sharkey, Emma Gomez, Riley Minerley, Caroline Crane, Grace Theerman and Olivia Theerman.
The senior class is led by Amelia Kolbik, Lauren Kuridza, Libby Boyko and Kathleen Saltz.
“We have a really good mix of players this year, and everyone’s stepping up,” Kuridza said.
Randolph also faces a strong schedule this season, with a good mix of competition from programs like Mendham, Morris Knolls, Roxbury, Columbia and Chatham, which should help the team grow throughout the year.
“I am looking forward to having a great season filled with fun and success,” Stokoe said.
Randolph will look to keep building the momentum in its next game on Friday, Apr. 10, when the team takes on Morris Knolls.
