The Randolph Boys Lacrosse team took down Mendham 13-7 on Senior Night on Thursday, May 14.
The Rams have had a stellar turnaround season compared to the 2025 campaign; going into their last game of the season, they hold a 13-8 record. This includes their current hot streak, winning 11 of their last 13 games, with their two losses coming against ranked teams.
“It makes me want to always want to chase the seniors’ talent and be a better player,” freshman Michael Bosotina said of his Class of 2026 teammates.
The Rams also made a quarterfinal appearance in the Morris County Tournament where they came up short against West Morris, losing 11-10 in overtime to a top-15 team.
In the Mendham game, Randolph was led offensively by senior Mark Manolis, who finished with four goals and two assists. Manolis consistently created opportunities with impressive spin moves around the crease, helping fuel the Rams’ 13–goal win.
“It felt really good performing on senior night, truly a testament to the last four years of hard work,” Manolis said.
Junior Ryan Barnett also played a major role in the win, scoring three goals while providing energy in transition and attacking the goal aggressively. Junior Everett Palumbo added three goals of his own, while Trevor Cuonzo and Nick Cirella each eclipsed three assists.
Defensively, Randolph put together one of its strongest performances of the season. Cirella played stellar defense throughout the game, applying pressure to Mendham’s attackers and helping shut down scoring opportunities, only allowing two goals in the second half. In goal, senior Matthew DeVos delivered a standout performance with 16 saves, including several key stops that helped Randolph maintain momentum.
“During halftime we knew we had to lock in and secure the victory,” Cuonzo said. “It was good to be able to play with this group all together one last time.”
The game was tied 5-5 at halftime before Randolph began to pull away in the second half. The Rams outscored Mendham 8-2 over the final two quarters, including a dominant fourth quarter that sealed the victory.
The Rams face Livingston next on Saturday, May 16 at 12:30 p.m. for their final game of the regular season.
