The Randolph Girls Ice Hockey team closed out its season after a competitive winter, finishing with a 4-13 record. Despite facing a tough schedule, the Rams showed resilience and continued to battle hard in every game.
The 2025-2026 season brought valuable experiences, growth and memorable moments for the team. With strong leadership from the seniors, Randolph looks forward to building for the future.
This season, the girls said goodbye to six seniors, co-captains Amelia Kolbik and Lily Zepp, Bowie Manning, Daniella Gizienski, Ava Shadwell and Brooke Rodell.
“It wasn’t the record we hoped for, but this team never stopped working and putting in the effort,” Manning said.
“I’ll miss the bus rides and getting food with the team after practice,” Zepp added. “It meant a lot to be part of this team, and they always made me laugh.”
Randolph earned four wins this season against the strong competition. The Rams defeated Princeton three times during the year and also earned a win over Newark East Side. The final win against Princeton came in the Annis Cup quarterfinal round.
Offensively, sophomore Charna Torres led the team with 19 goals this season and reached the 50-point milestone. In net, Gizienski stepped up after the team lost its former goalie and delivered an impressive performance with 194 saves and helped keep the Rams competitive.
The season may have come to an end, but the girls showed good spirit, teamwork and resilience all winter long. The returning players will continue to grow and train in the off season to come back stronger next winter.
