The Randolph Girls Ice Hockey 2025-2026 season starts today, Tuesday, Dec. 9, in its opener against Westfield.

After a preseason spent lifting, sharpening their skating skills and intensifying practices, this year’s group is ready to establish its identity early.  

“We are coming into this season with something to prove,” senior co-captain Lily Zepp said. “The team has been working hard in the offseason by going to lifts and stick times. We are ready to set the tone from day one.”

This year’s team has seen a major roster shift after losing six senior players last June. Stepping in are six freshmen who joined the lineup, bringing new energy and skill to the team.  

“We have a lot of new faces this year, and I can wait to get close with them and play games,” junior Lia Carroll said. 

“I’m excited to start the season, and everyone has been pushing each other in practice so I’m excited to see how it will translate in games,” sophomore Charna Torres added.

Head coach Scott Aiello and assistant coach Ryan Hallock return behind the bench, while on the ice, senior Amelia Kolbik and Zepp will serve as co-captains. They plan to help teach younger players and keep communication steady during games and practice. They are joined by assistant captains Carroll, Daniella Gizienski and Torres. 

“Last season, our record did not show how we outworked and out-hustled other teams,” Kolbik said. “This year, the team will be unstoppable when we play as a whole and don’t back down.”

The 2025-2026 roster is as follows:

• Seniors: Amelia Kolbik, Lily Zepp, Bowie Manning, Ava Shadwell, Brooke Rodell, Daniella Gizienski
• Juniors: Lia Carroll, Promise Kinnier, Caitlin Sabatino, Maddie Fogel and Allison Villarevia
• Sophomores: Avery Vicko, Jillian Gizienski, Charna Torres, Jules Manson, Dana Cozza
• Freshmen: Peyton Smith, Keira Vanderhook, Angie Feravolo, Avery Altemose, Hannah Williamson
