The Rams concluded the 2025-2026 regular season with a hard-fought 3-6 record, competing well against powerhouse programs including Roxbury, Wayne Hills, Sparta, Montclair, Ramapo and other top-ranked schools.
Despite losing key competitors to graduation last year, Randolph quickly rebuilt its squad. Senior co-captains Ava Shadwell and Daniella Diaz led the way as returning athletes stepped up and younger teammates rose to the occasion.
“Going into the season, we were nervous because we lost our senior competitors,” Diaz said. “But throughout the season, we regained confidence with our new seniors and underclassmen being top performers.”
The Rams opened the season strong, defeating Roxbury High School 97-94 and Wayne Hills High School 101-85, setting the tone for competitive performances throughout the fall.
The Rams continued to refine routines and strengthen team chemistry ahead of the state championship on Nov. 1.
“We all worked hard,” Shadwell recalled. “We had a few injuries but still performed as well as we could have without our full lineup. Qualifying for states was our main goal, and we were able to accomplish that.”
The Rams maintained their focus and determination throughout the season, pushing one another to improve and finish on a high note. Despite mid-season challenges, Randolph Gymnastics achieved its ultimate goal of qualifying for states. Randolph placed eighth overall out of eight qualifying teams, earning a total score of 100.25 points—a strong showing for a young roster in a competitive bracket.
