In keeping with a beloved RHS tradition, students and staff gathered at Bauer Memorial Field for the 2025 Pep Rally to cap off Spirit Week on Friday, Oct. 24.
During the Pep Rally, students showcased their school spirit by wearing either white or blue for the school’s colors and sitting with their grade-level classmates.
A performance from the RHS Drumline and loudspeaker event narration from the junior student class council kept everyone’s spirits high throughout the event.
“Announcing at the 2025 RHS Pep Rally not only was an honor, but an opportunity to not only see but also experience the RHS student body energy, united as a whole, as we all shook the stands and cheered on one another,” junior class president Jarred Veljikovic said.
The activities began with the senior class storming the field while carrying an American flag. That marked the official start of the rally. Immediately afterward, the RHS choir, joined by the ALS students, took center field to perform the national anthem.
The RHS Dance Team and varsity cheerleaders joined forces next to perform the infamous Pitbull song “Shake Senora,” which was choreographed by Michele Adriano, the RHS dance teacher.
Students from all grade levels competed well in the various activities that were offered, including a 4×100 relay, giant volleyball game, tug of war, water balloon toss and frozen T-shirt relay.
Among the winners were seniors Aedan Perez and Jackson Magli, who partnered in the water toss. “It was our last Spirit Week, and it meant a lot to us to finally secure the win,” Perez said.
There was friendly competition between all students as every grade level was eager to be named the overall winner of the Pep Rally. At the long-awaited reveal, the juniors emerged victorious.
