Last year, varsity Girls Soccer enjoyed one of the team’s best seasons in years, with a record of 18-3-2. The Rams were unbeaten in the conference and made it to the Morris County Tournament finals and the State North 1, Group 3 semifinals.
The team has returned 15 players from last year, and only replaced two starters. This tight knit group will continue to build chemistry and bond throughout this season, making the team even more unstoppable than before.
“I have very high hopes for our upcoming season,” Van Wingerden said. “The returners have great chemistry after repeatedly playing together, and the newcomers have been a strong addition. Each player brings something special, and there is so much talent within our team. We hope to make this year a banner season, and I believe that we will do nothing short of that.”
The team has had a good pre-season, winning all four of their scrimmages, undeniably proving a strong return to the field following last year’s impressive season.
