“Leading up to the game, we knew we needed to come out quick,” senior co-captain RJ Dougherty said of the Delby matchup. “At our previous time seeing them, the game did not go our way, but we competed the entirety of the game.
Randolph struck early when junior Julian Hernandez scored off a corner-kick scramble in the 11th minute. Moments later, senior co-captain Jake Rubin set up junior Andrei Nitulescufor his 14th goal of the season to give the Rams a 2-0 lead.
The remainder of the first half went at a much slower pace, with neither team scoring nor few offensive opportunities.
