RHS students packed the main gym on Wednesday, Sept. 18, during unit lunch for the annual Club Fair, a bustling event that gives students the opportunity to explore extracurricular activities and connect with peers who share similar interests.
Dozens of clubs, both long-standing and newly founded, were represented with tables, posters and enthusiastic student leaders ready to answer questions and recruit members.
“This year there were so many clubs that I have never seen before,” junior Ruhi Shah said. “I got to sign up for a lot more clubs to get myself more involved at RHS.”
Spotlight on Featured Clubs
HOSA: Health Occupations Students of America
New to RHS this year, HOSA has already gained attention from students interested in health and medical careers. “HOSA is a health and medical-based student organization,” junior competition coordinator Valerie Reynaldo said. “Our chapter gives students the chance to join national competitions, hear from guest speakers and participate in fun activities and community service.”
International Advocacy Club
Also in its first year, the International Advocacy Club has quickly become a standout addition to RHS.
“I am most excited to create a more diverse and unified community at RHS,” junior and club founder Aleksandra Jankowska said. “It’s designed to help immigrant students, such as myself, adjust to a new country and school system. We also hope to teach others about the diverse cultures represented here.”
Speech & Debate
A veteran club at RHS, Speech & Debate continues to thrive with a growing and dedicated team.
“Speech & Debate is such a great space to learn skills that will carry you forward no matter what you do,” senior president Tanishka Shahoo said. “At tournaments, I’ve learned to think critically on the spot, speak confidently to large audiences, and build strong bonds with teammates.”
Green Club
Green Club remains one of the most popular and impactful clubs on campus, combining environmental advocacy with community service. “I feel like Green Club is one of the most important clubs our school offers,” said junior vice president Ethan Dougherty. “We mix lighthearted fun with meaningful projects that benefit our community, nation and the world. Whether we’re volunteering in Morristown or interacting with reptiles, Green Club offers unique, hands-on experiences.”
