Randolph Boys Volleyball finished the 2023-2024 season with a 15-12 record, showcasing the team’s resilience and growth throughout the year. The players battled through a tough schedule, securing key wins that highlighted their potential.
For 2024-2025, the boys are gearing up for key matchups against Dover, Sparta, Jefferson, Clifton, Chatham and Vernon, aiming to establish themselves as a competitive force this season.
Returners are seniors Kevin Tinio and Veera Raju; juniors Cole Cantada, Steven Nostrame, Marco Holder, Austin Powell, Aedan Perez, Benjamin Barninger and Gabriel Sherwood; and sophomores Matas Covalesky and Jan Rostek.
“This season, we have a talented group with a strong foundation, as our roster is packed with juniors who bring both skill and potential to the court,” head coach Erik Novack said.
Preparation for the upcoming season has been intense, with most players staying sharp by competing with club teams and training on their own time. This extra commitment gives Randolph an edge as the team enters the season with strong chemistry and refined fundamentals.
“We are preparing for this season by creating smart goals for both the team and individually and executing these goals in practice,” Tinio said.
The boys look more prepared and stronger than ever. Despite last year’s setbacks, the team has shown significant improvement. With a deep roster and determined mindset, they’re ready to make a statement.
“The season’s shaping up to be something special,” Perez said. “The energy in practice has been high and you can feel the hunger from when we fell short last year in the NJAC.”
“The work these athletes are putting in now will set the tone for a competitive and dynamic year, Novack added. “I’m looking forward to watching them rise to the challenges that come their way this season.”
The Boys Volleyball season kicks off on March 24 with a 4 p.m. matchup against Dover.
